The company ISENSI was awarded the prize for best company that is awarded by the Café Aventura VII Sabadell Entrepreneurship Forum. The project will receive a prize of 1,500 Euros and the team will have the chance to work for six months at the Can Roqueta Industrial Business Centre.
Specifically, Eduard Segura was recognised for his project Lucía, a sensory cabin that is about to be launched on the market and that plays with water, colour and aromas, designed to facilitate the bathing of people with reduced mobility.
The annual call for entries, organised by Sabadell City Council through the department of Work and Companies, rewards newly-created companies (less than three years old), encourages their backing, promotes the development of new business activities and serves as a point of contact among participants.
The value of private and public companies in innovation
The programme of the VII Entrepreneurship Forum began with the speech How large companies innovate by collaborating with start-ups. An open talk led by Xavier Servat, Manager of Fluidra Accelera, and Albert Truella, head of the Corporate Venturing programme of Acció.
Servat highlighted the need for entrepreneurs to have a business strategy and also emphasised the value of large corporations when it comes to supporting the market plans of new start-ups due to their capacity to attract new investors. Indeed, Fluidra Accelera contributes to offering guidance to new industrial projects in the water, pool and wellness sectors alongside expert mentors from the Fluidra leading group, a task that boosts the credibility and perception of value of emerging companies.
On the day, the mayor of Sabadell Marta Farrés highlighted the capacity of the public network to strengthen the potential of start-ups and enable them to access new opportunities. Likewise, she reinforced the idea that the administration is key when it comes to helping to generate synergies and collaborate with people who view entrepreneurship as an appealing professional option.
